LEARNING TO PLAY | GAMECAREERGUIDE COLUMN

Learning to Play is a column I author at GameCareerGuide where I chronicle my experiences as a game design major, treating them as more personal postmortems. As I found myself journaling various life-lessons from each project, I thought they'd be useful to share with current students looking to get into the game industry themselves, and from more candid frames of reference.

DIGITALCHEMY | ART & DESIGN BLOG

My personal design blog that spans game, sound, and visual design theory & best practices.Whether I'm purely developing an idea out loud, writing a one-off essay, or featuring new independent work of mine, I spend what off hours I have making a home for them here.

THE ESCAPE ROUTE | COLLABORATIVE GAME DESIGN BLOG + PODCAST

The Escape RouteĀ is a blog that follows the practices of art, design, and theory behind computer games from a student perspective. The writings found here often regard rumination on game theory, works in progress, and level design. From July 2009 to March 2010 my peers and I published a monthly/bi-monthly podcast, The Modcast, which ties most of those ideas together. We hope you find something of interest from our log of leaving education, to profession.
